It’s hard to define a business in a few words, of course – but if we had to choose just one, it would be: Transformative.
Or possibly: Innovative. Determined. Visionary. Discerning. Honest. Conscientious. Modest.
Okay, maybe not that last one. See? We can't pick just one!
OUR TEAM
The Ecogardens team hails from a variety of ecology, sustainability, landscaping and marketing backgrounds. What do we look for before we bring anyone on board? Simple: A pure love of the environment mixed with a desire to make our cities cleaner, healthier, prettier spaces. Our employees and partners embody this ethic through and through. Whether we’re putting in a new urban garden or typing up a blog post, we are guaranteed to do it with two ends in mind: your satisfaction and the wellbeing of the planet.
We also maintain a strong network of partners outside Ecogardens.

GREG RAYMOND, President
Greg went to Michigan State University for horticulture and landscape architecture, and later earned a certification in natural shoreline restoration. He’s also an accredited GRP, or green roof professional – a member of the inaugural class, as it happens.
Over the years, and through a variety of different ecologically oriented jobs, Greg developed his passion for melding the hard bones of urban infrastructure with the organic texture of native plants and animals, rich soils and clean water.
Thus was born a diehard nature nut who loves heading out into the verge, but would much rather bring it in to our fair cities. Today, Greg designs and installs green roofs, creates urban gardens, implements stormwater management systems and consults on all things green infrastructure.
Rondi Raymond, Director of Marketing
Rondi Raymond has spent her life building great teams and great stories. From the publishing and editorial world to the search consulting industry, Rondi loves helping companies thrive through cultivating powerful people and messaging.
That’s exactly what she does as Director of Marketing here at Ecogardens. In addition to overseeing both digital and traditional marketing activities, Rondi focuses on visual branding, business strategy and client relationships. After earning a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Webster University, Rondi worked with big names such as Macmillan and Cambridge Consulting. From there, she turned her attention to the sustainability space.
Rondi lives in Chicago with Greg Raymond, President of Ecogardens, and their two young sons. Rondi enjoys being active outside with her family, gardening and baking the occasional cake.
