Tough Plants and Sturdy Design Result in Ultimate Dependability
Resiliency Test: Survived Two Microbursts and Gale Force Winds with Zero Damage
This green roof was built in the Critical Dune Area of SW Michigan. The sand dunes here are incredibly sensitive, so we had to be cognizant of the plant species we chose. Invasive species were an absolute no-no, and we had to respect the boundaries of the property without any danger of spilling over in the dunes beyond.
The result of our design and installation is a gorgeous green roof visible as you drive down the hill toward the property. The roof blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, highlighting the cedar architecture and providing a bright spot in this natural setting.
