About Us:
Ecogardens is a sustainable landscaping company that offers premier, full-service ecological design, products, and consulting services. We design and install green roofs, urban gardens and terrace plantings, and other green infrastructure including rain gardens, rainwater harvesting, and bioswales. The Urban Landscape Project Manager is a supervisory role responsible for managing multiple landscape projects ranging from on-grade urban gardens to rooftop gardens and green roofs.

Our guiding principle is to be responsible stewards of the environment and we’re looking for someone who aligns with those values and understands the challenges of establishing and stewarding urban gardens both on the ground as well as on terraces and rooftops. This is a full-time position that reports to the president of the company.  




  • Day-to-day management of crew operations

  • Willing attitude to be a hands-on participant with crew(s) as needed

  • Project scheduling and morning dispatch of crews

  • Materials procurement

  • Performing project take offs and preparing cost estimates within company estimating program

  • Site visits for current and new clients

  • Meeting and communicating effectively with clients

  • Prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities and projects simultaneously

  • New client prospecting and follow up including verification of new leads, establishing contact, site assessment, and measurements




  • Great attitude, positive and self-motivated, and the ability to work independently

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience managing projects and crews in horticulture/landscaping industry is required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is a must

  • CAD/estimating software experience a plus

  • Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or Environmental educational background preferred

  • Excellent communication skills and comfort level when talking with clients, minor report writing

  • Ability to identify plants, pests, weeds, etc.

  • Proactive vs. reactive, looking for problems before they show up

  • Basic knowledge of irrigation controls is a plus

  • Drive a vehicle (van, truck, or box truck) with competence and common sense
